Who Are We?

The current New Voices Committee is made up of nine adults who live across Virginia from rural counties to urban cities. Some of our members live in their families’ homes, others live in nursing homes and group homes, and a couple live independently. At some point in our lives almost all of us have been very isolated from their communities.

Each of the committee members has a disability; some are physical, some are cognitive, and some are mental illnesses.
